Super Cargo has been in charge of lorry transportation in the Adriatic for more than two decades due to its dynamism and ground-breaking practices. Today, it provides integrated solutions for the transport and movement of vehicles and freight in the wider Mediterranean area as well as the sea routes to Western and Northern Europe.
OUR HISTORY
The beginning, the challenges and the development
Super Cargo was founded in Patras in 1996. Its main object was booking lorries on ships. It quickly established a branch in Igoumenitsa and expanded its presence beyond the Adriatic (Mediterranean, Western and Northern Europe). It was then called upon to fulfil the diverse demands of large-scale vehicle and cargo traffic. This was achieved successfully, covering the entire range of services concerned: bookings for ferries and ships, customs formalities, special passes, and escort vehicles.
In the process, Super Cargo has managed to build relationships of trust with its partners to consistently secure the most advantageous and appropriate solutions for its customers. At the same time, it has dynamically expanded its tourism activity.
Opening up to tourism
In 1998, Super Cargo founded Supertravel & Tourism in Patras. In this way, and underpinned by its experience and technical know-how, it offers a wide range of high-quality services for business and leisure trips: ticket issuance for all means of transport, hotel booking and car rental, group excursions and cruises, excursion packages, organisation of conferences and sporting events.
In 2010, Supertravel & Tourism became an official member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Since then, it has been dealing directly with airlines to obtain better deals for its customers.
